Some members of the Partnership for a Healthy Colorado have been advocating for Coloradans for more than a century, and on average, our partners have about 34 years of experience in Colorado. 

Together, we represent millions of citizens from every county in Colorado.

AARP Colorado
Founded: 1993
Members: 700,000
AARP is the largest consumer advocacy group in the country that supports people 50+ through advocacy, foundation and community outreach efforts.

Autism Society of Colorado (ASC)
Founded: 1970
Members: 30,000
ASC’s locally based, professional staff serves individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, families, providers and policy makers throughout the state of Colorado by providing the most current and accurate information and referrals; implementing programs that promote quality of life; advancing legislation to increase funding for treatment and support; and heightening community awareness of the need for assistance and services.

Bell Policy Center
Founded: 2000
Members: As a research-based organization, the Bell Policy Center reaches policy makers, organizations, health care and higher education institutions, foundations, and the media across Colorado.

The nonprofit Bell Policy Center seeks to make Colorado a State of Opportunity for all by developing and advocating effective policy solutions to critical challenges, based on quality research and analysis.

Business Health Forum
Founded: 2007
Members: 1,200
The Business Health Forum is a nonpartisan, nonprofit whose mission is to move employers to lead the creation of a sustainable health care system. Nearly 60 percent of Coloradans access health coverage through an employer, so it is critical for employers to have a voice when it comes to reform.

Colorado Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (CASCA)

Colorado Association of Health Plans (CAHP)
Founded: 1985
Members: 3,000,000 insured
CAHP’s members include rural not-for-profit health insurance plans, not-for-profit regional health delivery systems, Medicaid and CHP+ providers, and large national companies. CAHP works with state public-policy makers and community groups to educate and ensure the delivery of high quality affordable health care coverage for all Coloradans.

Colorado Children’s Campaign

The Colorado Children’s Campaign is creating hope and opportunity in Colorado, more than one million kids at a time.

Colorado Coalition for the Medically Underserved (CCMU)
Founded: 1997
Members: 80 organizations
CCMU is a membership-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Denver. It develops and advocates for public policies that provide access to affordable, timely, and quality health care for everyone in Colorado.

Colorado Consumer Health Initiative (CCHI)
Founded: 2000
Members: 50 organizations
CCHI is a non-partisan, nonprofit coalition representing a statewide, unified voice for consumers in the health care debate at the state capitol and in other state policy-making arenas.

Colorado Council of Churches
Members: 800+ congregations
Living in unity, working for justice is the mission of the Colorado Council of Churches.  We believe that the faith community is called to be an active participant in fashioning a just and effective health care system for all.

Colorado Medical Society (CMS)
Founded: 1871
Members: 7,000
CMS is an association of physicians who advocate for excellence in the profession of medicine in the legislative, regulatory and private arenas.  Excellence in medicine is achieved when all citizens have access to affordable, timely, quality health care.

Colorado Progressive Coalition (CPC)
Founded: 1996
Members: 250,000
CPC is a statewide, multi-racial, multi-issue network of people and organizations creating the action necessary for progressive social change. We fight for social, racial, economic, educational, and environmental justice.

Colorado State Association of Health Underwriters (CSAHU)
Founded: 1930
Members: 562
CSAHU is Colorado’s largest professional association of brokers and producers of health, life and long-term care insurance who work with thousands of Colorado’s consumers every day.  Our brokers are on the front lines with consumers; they know from experience their frustrations, desires and suggestions regarding health insurance and the health care delivery system.

Colorado WINS
Founded: 2009
Members: 3,000+
Colorado WINS is a union for state employees organized in 2009 under Governor Ritter’s Executive Order authorizing partnership agreements to improve state government. Colorado WINS is a project of SEIU, AFSCME and AFT.

FRESC: Good Jobs Strong Communities
(Front Range Economic Strategy Center)
Founded: 2002
Members: 3,500
FRESC’s vision is for all people in Colorado to have jobs that pay livable wages, have family-supporting benefits including health care, have housing that is affordable and have the maximum opportunity for a good quality of life.  FRESC works to constructively reshape the regional economy of metro Denver utilizing a broad toolkit of community organizing, research, policy change, civic engagement, and coalition-building to uplift workers and build strong communities.

Health Care for All Colorado
Founded: 2001
Members: 5,400
Health Care for All Colorado is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization, working for universal health care for all people in Colorado using a single-payer financing model.  Health Care for All Colorado supports publically financed, privately delivered health care that is NOT government-run and that expands choice and beneficial competition for all patients.

Kaiser Permanente
Founded: 1969
Members: 500,000+
Kaiser Permanente both finances and delivers care as a not-for- profit, integrated healthcare delivery system. It is Colorado’s oldest and largest group practice health care organization.

KEENE Research & Development
Founded: 1992
KEENE R&D is a consulting engineering contract firm focused on mechanical development of high performance products for scientific and industrial applications.  Its niche technological work is in thermal and vibration analysis and ruggedized packaging of electronics.

National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB)
Founded: 1943
Members: 7,500
NFIB is the voice of small business. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, NFIB represents the consensus views of its members in Washington and all 50 state capitals. Members are able to contact policymakers, enroll in savings programs, access business resources and network with other small business owners in their community.

Service Employees International Union
Members: 5,200
Local 105 members include employees at the Denver International Airport, nurses and other health care employees at Kaiser Permanente and Mental Health Center of Denver, and property services employees.

South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce
Founded: 1921
Members: 1,600 businesses
The South Metro Denver Chamber is one of the most influential forces in local government and regional economic development. The Chamber is actively involved in helping local businesses
prosper, along with public policy efforts while providing valuable
resources to its members.

The RMH Group
Founded: 1961
Members: 85 employees
The RMH Group is a Denver-based, client-and-community- focused mechanical, electrical, and industrial process consulting engineering firm with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainable design. The firm’s core disciplines include building HVAC, power, environmental controls, plumbing, fire protection, central utilities, lighting, and industrial systems.

University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine
Founded: 1883
Members: 6,000
The region’s only school of medicine trains 156 students each year, is the major site for biotechnology and outcomes research, and is the largest multispecialty physician group practice in the state. Our faculty are one of the largest providers of care for the uninsured outside of Denver county.
