Practice and be patient

There is nothing more frustrating than losing cognitive function due to a brain injury or accident, and many people who have experienced diminished cognitive function or memory loss tend to become angry and upset at their loss of ability. However, the brain takes time to recover, so you will need to be prepared to work on improving your cognitive functions for a long period of time. In some cases, it may take years of work and practice to fully recover. In some cases, you may never be able to fully regain all of your cognitive processes or memory.
